Jake Brown Wins Third During X Games; Doesn't Die This Time

The X Games started off with a bang, and not like last year when Jake Brown nearly turned into Humpty Dumpty. For anyone who doesn't know, there's an X Games event called Big Air where skateboarders catapult themselves down a long and practically 90 degree ramp only to hit a vert ramp and fly into the air; all while landing on a board and doing tricks. It's truly terrifying especially for someone who had a panic attack at her local skate park while 10 year olds whizzed by. That s*** is scary! Well, last year, Jake Brown from Australia fell 50 feet onto his back and nearly died but managed to come back this year and win third. Congratulations Jake Brown. You lost a frontal lobe but grew some balls.

Favre Offered 20 Million to do Nothing

The latest news in Favre Frenzy 2008 is that the former Packer may be getting $20 million over 10 years to stay retired. The deal would ideally relieve the franchise from any more drama as well as halting his possible plans of joining another team. I really wish my ex-employers would offer me the same incentives to stay away instead of the usual restraining orders they dish out. And does anyone else get a Harry Potter vibe from the above photo?
